Graduate Marietta Goals and
2014-2015 Strategic Initiatives

Goal 1 – Extend the reach of the Graduate Marietta message “graduate prepared” throughout the Marietta community. ·        

• Provide seniors an opportunity to invite an educator that made an impact on their lives to graduation.        
• Infuse Graduate Marietta materials throughout the community.         
• Involve high school students in the design and maintenance of the Graduate Marietta website

Goal 2 – Develop academic initiatives that support student graduation and align with the district's strategic plan and mission. ·        

• Create academic expectations, called Marietta Essentials, to support parents in their children’s success. ·        
• Continue the implementation of the Middle Years IB program in grades 6-10.      
• Provide differentiated, flexible learning options for high school students.  

Goal 3 – Engage students through ongoing Graduate Marietta outreach opportunities.      

• Develop Graduate Marietta induction process for entering secondary students.        
• Create new traditions for seniors that include opportunities for them to interact with elementary school students. ·        
• Involve high school students in the design and maintenance of the Graduate Marietta website (also Goal 1). ·       
• Develop a video serious to highlight individual student journeys towards graduation
